Coming Soon! First Home Club
Bethex FCU in partnership with The Federal Home Loan Bank of NY is happy to announce the First Home Club (FHC). The FHC offers an incentive for households with income at or below 80% of median income to save towards the purchase of a new home.
The program is a non-competitive set aside of the HLB's Affordable Housing Program and will be administered through Bethex for its members. The FHC provides down payment and closing cost assistance by granting $4 in matching funds for each $1 saved in a dedicated account (up to $7,500 in matching funds) to an eligible first–time homebuyer purchasing a home through us.
Services For Hearing Impaired
Once a month Tracy Santos spends the day at Bethex helping hearing impaired people join Bethex and complete loan applications. Tracy is an expert in using sign language. If you have difficulty hearing, and would like to take advantage of our financial services, we encourage you to come to the office. FREE CARFAX Vehicle History Report!
We can provide you with a Free vehicle report when you apply for an auto loan with us. CARFAX vehicle history reports are available on all used cars and light trucks model year 1981 or later. Using the unique 17-character vehicle identification number (VIN), a CARFAX report is instantly generated from our database of over eight billion records.
Every CARFAX report contains information that can impact a consumer's decision about a used vehicle. Some types of information that a CAR-FAX report may include are: Title information, including salvaged or junked titles, flood damage history, total loss accident history, odometer readings, and number of owners.

James Alexander Scholarship
Many of our members were privileged to know James Alexander, "Jimmy". He helped organize the credit union and was an ever present volunteer until the month before he passed (06/19/2009).
To keep his name and his memory alive, we created: The James Alexander Community Service Scholarship. The annual award is $500 and is awarded to young students who embodies Jimmy's ideals of getting a college education and serving the community.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Bethex membership or relationship.
• High school senior planning to attend college in the fall. Needs to provide high school transcript, letter of recommen-dation from high school counselor and acceptance letter from college.
• Community involvement for at least 6 months. A letter from a supervisor or equivalent documentation must be pro-vided.
